Coloured bath resurfacing in Mace Green

What we are called out for in Mace Green

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions to ask before booking

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • If travel is included in the price

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Mace Green

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We’re frequently asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Landlord and trade work in Mace Green

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What affects the price in Mace Green

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many areas need work
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Mace Green. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Common questions in Mace Green

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Mace Green included. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Are there extra charges for Mace Green?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Why book with us

  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Work done at your home or business

How it works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a day or two, depending on how many items, tidy-up included.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Clear the area around the damage

Getting a price

Advice

What a repair cannot fix

We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
