Coloured suite to white in Maud, Aberdeenshire
Coloured bath resurfacing in and around Maud: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why us?
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- One price list for the whole UK

Coloured bath resurfacing in Maud without replacing anything
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can generally put it right.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Maud as everywhere else we work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What happens on the day
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a day or two, depending on how many items for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Advice
DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Common problems we fix in Maud
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
People usually call us when they notice one of these:
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
Landlord and trade work in Maud
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Honest limits
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Common questions in Maud
Do you do work for letting agents?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Do you cover Maud?
Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Maud from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Is there a call-out fee?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
Can pets and children be at home?
Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- The material
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- The material, if you know it
- Natural light rather than flash
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Where you are, by postcode
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote.
