Coloured bath resurfacing in Milton Green

Coloured bath resurfacing in Milton Green, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We are frequently asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, in coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. The main factors are:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your CH3 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

Honest limits

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Milton Green customers choose us

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One visit for most repairs

See our pricing and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

The process

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We leave the room clean.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

How to get a price

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

FAQs for Milton Green

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

When to call us in Milton Green

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
