Coloured bath resurfacing near Nairn

Coloured bath resurfacing in Nairn, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Our repair technicians work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and people most frequently call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.

Why book with us

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • One price list for the whole UK

What happens on the day

We begin by going over the job with you. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. You can expect it to take one to two days for a full suite.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Nairn?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Common reasons people in Nairn contact us are:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Comparing quotes

  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • Who will actually do the work

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Nairn. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from photos

You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

For landlords and businesses

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

What we cannot put right

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

Materials we work on in Nairn

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Common questions in Nairn

Is a repair better than a new one?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Do you cover the whole of Highland?

All of Highland, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.
