Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in North Hertfordshire

About our coloured bath resurfacing in North Hertfordshire

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

Every job is backed for twelve months in North Hertfordshire and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Advice

Common problems we fix in North Hertfordshire

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions to ask before you book

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • If travel is included in the price
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

Common questions in North Hertfordshire

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

Will you leave a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many areas need work
  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach

What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Any details about the material
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Something in shot to show the size

For a price in North Hertfordshire, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • One visit for most repairs
  • No need to remove anything

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

What we can’t put right

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
