Coloured bath resurfacing in Northease without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We are frequently asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Common problems we fix in Northease

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • How your room will be protected
  • When it can be used again
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Choosing a repair company

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Northease

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

How do I book?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Northease.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • What the surface is made of
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Quotes from your pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • The material, if you know it

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

When a repair is not the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Materials we work on in Northease

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • We leave the room as we found it

Can I fix it myself?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What happens on the day

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Northease, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
