The process
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit

Advice
Coloured bath resurfacing in Nursteed, done in place
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Nursteed. The price comes down to:
- Access to the area
- Doing more than one item at once
- The material and finish
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Nursteed. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any details about the material
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can price the job without visiting.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
What else we do in Nursteed
Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will arrange it.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

FAQs for Nursteed
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
What do you need from me?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
Do you charge for travel?
There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
When we’d advise against a repair
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
