Coloured bath resurfacing in Pamphill

Coloured bath resurfacing in Pamphill, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Before and after: an old basin refinished to bright white

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send photos for a quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Send us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your BH21 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Pamphill

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Dorset and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Common problems we fix in Pamphill

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

People normally call us when they notice something like this:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How long it needs to cure
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

How to compare quotes

Repairing versus replacing in Pamphill

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why Pamphill customers choose us

FAQs for Pamphill

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can you quote from pictures?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Are you accredited?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

The process

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. You can expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we will tell you if anything changes.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
