Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Parr?
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.
You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- If travel is included in the price
- What aftercare is recommended
- When it can be used again
Coloured bath resurfacing in Parr without replacing anything
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It typically takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Ensure the area is dry
- Have a window or extractor fan available

Advice
Work for landlords and builders
If you manage property in Parr, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we will price them together.
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll handle the rest.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Repair or replace in Parr?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Parr: your questions answered
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
Can you quote from photos?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- How many areas need work
A repair typically costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- Details of any past repairs
- What it’s made of, if you know
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A wider photo showing the whole suite
For a price in Parr, the easiest route is photos: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
