Coloured bath resurfacing in Patterton

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Patterton

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and people most often call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What the surface is made of
  • The colour and finish to match

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

How the visit works

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

Send us a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, with your G77 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Patterton questions

Do you cover the whole of East Renfrewshire?

We cover the whole UK, including Patterton and the rest of East Renfrewshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will confirm dates.

Can you quote from photos?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
