Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Penge

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Penge

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Penge

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

What happens next?

We come back with a fixed price, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Do you cover Penge?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Penge and the rest of Greater London. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Which areas do you work in?

All of Greater London, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

For landlords and businesses

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

The process

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Advice

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Penge. The price depends on:

  • How many areas need work
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material and finish
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

How to get a fixed price

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Repairing versus replacing in Penge

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking.

Why Penge clients choose us

  • Work done at your home or business
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • No need to remove anything

Take a look at our full price list and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Honest limits

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What we are called out for in Penge

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • How the colour is matched
  • Who turns up on the day
