Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Penllwyn
A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites alike.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When to call us in Penllwyn
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
The things customers typically mention when they call are:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- How the room is protected while they work
- Who will actually do the work
- Aftercare advice
What a repair cannot fix
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Landlord and trade work in Penllwyn
If you manage property in Penllwyn, we will quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we will come back with a combined price.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
The process
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. Allow one to two days for a full suite, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, usually ready the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Make sure the area is dry
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Why us?

- One-year guarantee on every repair
- One visit for most repairs

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Quotes from your pictures
You can normally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- One picture of the entire suite
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.
