Coloured bath resurfacing for Polwarth homes

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Polwarth

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, we can help.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

The process

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

What affects the price in Polwarth

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Polwarth. The price reflects:

  • The material
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match

Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Quotes from your photos

You can typically get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

If you are in Polwarth and want a price, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Can I fix it myself?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Polwarth: your questions answered

Is repairing better than replacing?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Typically, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Do you cover Polwarth?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Polwarth for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Polwarth included. Travel is included in the price.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Repair or replace in Polwarth?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Polwarth. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
