Common questions in Poolbrook

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the entire UK, including Poolbrook and the rest of Worcestershire. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

What happens after I send photos?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Are there extra charges for Poolbrook?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Poolbrook

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Poolbrook and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

When to call us in Poolbrook

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Questions to ask before you book

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How to care for the finish
  • How long it needs to cure

Our hiring checklist

What happens on the day

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. On site, it takes one to two days for a full suite. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

When we would advise against a repair

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we work on in Poolbrook

What affects the price in Poolbrook

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before you book.

How to get a fixed quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • The material, if you know it

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Poolbrook

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Worcestershire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
