Coloured bath resurfacing in Racks

Coloured bath resurfacing in Racks without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and common reasons people get in touch are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Racks

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Honest limits

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Racks

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do you work in Racks?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Racks and the rest of Dumfries and Galloway. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Do the materials smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Repairing versus replacing in Racks

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Why Racks clients choose us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Colour-matched on site
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

What we do, step by step

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Common problems we fix in Racks

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • If travel is included in the price
  • How long it needs to cure
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • What preparation is included

Our hiring checklist

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What kind of damage it is

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Racks. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Where you are, by postcode

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed price.
