How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Ravensmoor

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee in Ravensmoor and across Cheshire East. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why Ravensmoor customers choose us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

Honest limits

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Ravensmoor?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Comparing quotes

  • How the colour is matched
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included

How to compare quotes

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material
  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once

Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Send pictures for a quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One picture of the entire suite

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed price without visiting.

Ravensmoor questions

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It typically takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Clear the area around the damage

Getting a price

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
