Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Reiss
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.
We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

When we would advise against a repair
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the day after.
Getting ready for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Have a window or extractor fan available
Ask for a price
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Advice
Common problems we fix in Reiss
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How many areas need work
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
You can normally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A picture taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Where you are, by postcode
For a price in Reiss, the easiest route is photos: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Questions from Reiss
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Can landlords book you?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.
