Coloured suite to white in Romilly, Vale of Glamorgan
Resurfacing coloured baths, basins and trays in white in Romilly, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Honest limits
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Romilly
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Work for landlords and builders
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Common questions in Romilly
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What about the toilet?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Usually, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Can pets and children be at home?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Do you cover Romilly?
We do. We send a technician to Romilly for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Romilly. The price reflects:
- Access to the area
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- The size and number of damaged areas
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send pictures for a quote
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One picture of the whole suite
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and no obligation.
When to call us in Romilly
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
Before booking anyone
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- What preparation is included
- How the room is protected while they work
- How to care for the finish

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Why Romilly clients choose us
- One visit for most repairs
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Same prices wherever you are
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know about parking or access
