How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Ryecroft

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It usually takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Common questions in Ryecroft

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Greater Manchester. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll offer you dates.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

What happens if you find more damage?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Do you cover Ryecroft?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Ryecroft from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in Ryecroft

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What affects the price in Ryecroft

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • The material and finish
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

Two or three clear photos are typically enough. Try to include:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The material, if you know it
  • One picture of the entire suite

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why us?

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Most jobs done in one visit

See our full price list or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

Can I fix it myself?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Common problems we fix in Ryecroft

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Before booking anyone

  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • What protection goes down before work starts
