DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.
Why book with us
- Same prices wherever you are
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
- We leave the room as we found it
- Everything repaired in place
Read our pricing and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Greater Manchester and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
What affects the price in Ancoats
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Ancoats. The price reflects:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How hard the colour is to match
- Access to the area
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Ancoats. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One picture of the whole suite
- Natural light rather than flash
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
What we cannot put right
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
How it works
On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
How to prepare
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Advice
Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Ancoats
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Can you quote from pictures?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.
