Need coloured bath resurfacing in Shalbourne?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Shalbourne, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. If you are dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can normally put it right.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What happens on the day

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Make sure the area is dry

Getting a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Advice

What a repair can’t fix

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

What we are called out for in Shalbourne

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How to look after the finish
  • What preparation is included
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Choosing a repair company

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Shalbourne. The price comes down to:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Access to the area
  • How much damage there is
  • How many items we do on one visit

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Quotes from your photos

Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Send us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your SN8 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

For landlords and businesses

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will handle the rest.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why us?

  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do

FAQs for Shalbourne

Do you work in Shalbourne?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Shalbourne and the rest of Wiltshire. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Are there extra charges for Shalbourne?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What do you need from me?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
