Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Shearsby

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Shearsby

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Shearsby: your questions answered

Do you hold any accreditations?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

How do I book?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Work done at your home or business

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

How the visit works

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job typically takes one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

10 questions to ask before you book

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Landlord and trade work in Shearsby

For anyone letting property in or around Shearsby, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What affects the price in Shearsby

Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The size and number of damaged areas

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.
