Bath and surface repairs in Leicestershire

How bath repair works in Leicestershire

You can usually use the bath the next day. A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Our technicians work on pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and people most often call us about rust spots where the enamel has gone and scratches and burns.

Nearly all the chips we see comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows. Acrylic baths crack when they flex, usually near the taps or the waste.

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.

Common questions in Leicestershire

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Often, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a photo.

Can you fix rust around the plughole?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Should I repair or replace?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What guarantee do I get?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

When can I use it again after the repair?

Usually the same day or the next, depending on the job. We’ll tell you the curing time before we leave.

Do you cover Leicestershire?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Leicestershire. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
