How we handle bath re-enamelling in Skegness
We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, and we take our time over it. We regularly repair acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops, and the jobs we see most are thin, worn enamel in places and lots of chips and rust spots.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Skegness and across Lincolnshire.

Questions from Skegness
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
How long does re-enamelling take?
Generally a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Lincolnshire.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Typically, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Repair or replace in Skegness?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the entire surface with the bath left where it is. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why book with us

Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish
Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The material and finish
- How hard the colour is to match
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A picture taken from further back
- Details of any past repairs
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
What we do, step by step
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job normally takes a full day. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s generally ready the next day.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
