Coloured bath resurfacing near Smalldale

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Smalldale

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material
  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. Try to include:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Common questions in Smalldale

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Do you work in Smalldale?

We do. Technicians travel to Smalldale from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?

All of Derbyshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

What we’re called out for in Smalldale

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The things clients usually mention when they call include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • Who turns up on the day
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How soon you can use it again

Honest limits

A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which generally takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
