Need coloured bath resurfacing in Stockton?

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Stockton?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What prep work is covered
  • Whether a trained technician does the job

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Stockton

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Honest limits

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Why Stockton clients choose us

  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

For landlords and businesses

If you manage property in Stockton, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Any details about the material
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Natural light rather than flash

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Common questions in Stockton

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

How the visit works

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes one to two days for a full suite. The room is left tidy.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Getting a price

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.
