Landlords, agents and businesses in Strensall
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Coloured bath resurfacing in Strensall, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.
Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we do, step by step
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to one to two days for a full suite, including clearing up.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Clear the area around the damage
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Strensall: your questions answered
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?
Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your YO32 postcode.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
What areas do you cover?
Everywhere in the UK, Strensall included. Travel is included in the price.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Strensall. The price depends on:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether we combine several jobs
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Send photos for a quote
When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The material, if you know it
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
Common problems we fix in Strensall
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
What your quote should include
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- Who will actually do the work
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
Repairing versus replacing in Strensall
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Strensall. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
What you get with us
- Work done at your home or business
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- No need to remove anything

What a repair can’t fix
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
