How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Access to the area
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What kind of damage it is
Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send photos for a quote
Phone pictures are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- Details of any past repairs
- The material, if you know it
- Natural light rather than flash
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote.
Coloured bath resurfacing in The Platt without replacing anything
A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people get in touch are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
Every job is backed for twelve months in The Platt and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Questions from The Platt
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
What happens after I send pictures?
You will get a fixed quote back, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.
Do you charge for travel?
We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
When we’d advise against a repair
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

The process
We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
