Coloured bath resurfacing for Torton homes

Coloured bath resurfacing in Torton without replacing anything

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Send pictures for a quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the whole suite

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Common problems we fix in Torton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Common reasons people in Torton contact us include:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before booking

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • What preparation is included

How to compare quotes

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Torton questions

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.

Can you price it without visiting?

Normally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

What do you need from me?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

What we can’t put right

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which typically takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
