Need coloured bath resurfacing in Tre-pit?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Tre-pit, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We are often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • How much damage there is

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send pictures for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The material, if you know it

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

How to get a price

Upload pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your CF71 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Tre-pit. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Choosing a repair company

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Tre-pit use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

When a repair is not the answer

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Tre-pit: your questions answered

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Will the price change on the day?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
