Coloured bath resurfacing near Twitton

When to call us in Twitton

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • What aftercare is recommended

10 questions to ask before you book

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Twitton

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and common reasons people get in touch are faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee in Twitton and across Kent. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Twitton questions

What happens if you find more damage?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

How quickly can you book me in?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

When we’d advise against a repair

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How much damage there is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any details about the material
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Twitton

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
