Coloured bath resurfacing near Uwchmynydd

Repair or replace in Uwchmynydd?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Uwchmynydd

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Work for landlords and builders

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Uwchmynydd as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we work on in Uwchmynydd

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • What the surface is made of
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Getting a price from photos

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

When to call us in Uwchmynydd

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What aftercare is recommended

How to compare quotes

How the visit works

The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Clear the area around the damage

Can I fix it myself?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
