When we would advise against a repair
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
Coloured bath resurfacing in Water Run without replacing anything
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, in whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What affects the price in Water Run
Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What kind of damage it is
Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Quotes from your pictures
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- One picture of the whole suite
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The material, if you know it
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
What we do, step by step
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
How to get a price
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
Related advice
Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Water Run
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Water Run questions
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Do you charge for travel?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
