Coloured bath resurfacing in Weir

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Weir

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace in Weir?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Why us?

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Fixed prices from your photos

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For landlords and businesses

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details.

The process

Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

How to get a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Common questions in Weir

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up and a picture of the entire item with your OL13 postcode.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do you cover Weir?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Weir for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

What do you need from me?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

When a repair is not the answer

We will not take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How much damage there is

A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your photos

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Common problems we fix in Weir

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for any of the following:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Before you book anyone

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What prep work is covered
  • Who turns up on the day
  • If travel is included in the price
