Coloured bath resurfacing in Wells-in-the-Field without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and people most often call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How many areas need work
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send photos for a quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Natural light rather than flash

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.

When a repair isn’t the answer

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Can I fix it myself?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

What happens on the day

Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow one to two days for a full suite. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

How to prepare

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

In most cases. The old repair comes out first.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

What about the toilet?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
