Coloured bath resurfacing in Wendy, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We are often asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we work on in Wendy

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • How much damage there is
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material
  • Whether we combine several jobs

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • Any details about the material
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Something in shot to show the size

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Repair or replace in Wendy?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

The process

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Ask for a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Wendy questions

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Can tenants book a repair?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Do you cover Wendy?

We do. We send a technician to Wendy for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

Can you quote from photos?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Common problems we fix in Wendy

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Aftercare advice
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What prep work is covered

Our hiring checklist

Landlord and trade work in Wendy

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Wendy use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
