Need coloured bath resurfacing in Westminster?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Westminster, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Greater London. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlord and trade work in Westminster

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What affects the price in Westminster

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Westminster. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from photos

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

If you’re in Westminster and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

When to call us in Westminster

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

The things clients typically mention when they call include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • How long it needs to cure
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • What preparation is included
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Our hiring checklist

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly. Protection goes down first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why book with us

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

See our prices page or bath cost comparison.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

Honest limits

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working.

Can you repair several things at once?
