FAQs for Westy
How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Westy?
Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your WA4 postcode.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.
What happens after I send photos?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Common problems we fix in Westy
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
Comparing quotes
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- Whether the price covers travel
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What aftercare is recommended
Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Why us?
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
- No need to remove anything
- Usually one visit, start to finish
- We leave the room as we found it

What happens on the day
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Plan for a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
