Our bath repair service in WA1
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that is smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. We are often asked to fix scratches you can feel with a fingernail and cracks in an acrylic bath, in pressed steel enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Getting a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Local landmarks in Bruche
Our clients here include homes close to Bruche Park, King's Leadership Academy Warrington and St.Oswald's Church, among other places. You’ll also find The Albion Public House (0.9 miles west), Cardinal Newman Catholic High School (0.8 miles south) and St Oswald's Catholic Primary School (less than half a mile north). The nearest railway station is Padgate station, roughly 0.5 miles north-east. Other landmarks nearby include Cockhedge Shopping Centre (1.2 miles south-west) and Warrington Hospital (2 miles west). For a walk, there is Paddington Meadows.
Common problems we fix in WA1
Rust tends to begin where water collects, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many items we do on one visit
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed quote
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
Send us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in WA1, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Repairing versus replacing
Cast iron baths in particular are worth repairing: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. Repairing it leaves it where it is.

Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
