Wingrave: your questions answered
Which areas do you work in?
We cover the entire UK, including Wingrave and the rest of Buckinghamshire. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.
Can landlords book you?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Is my repair covered?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Is there a call-out fee?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

For landlords and businesses
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Wingrave as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
How it works
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

What affects the price in Wingrave
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Doing more than one item at once
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The type of damage
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the pictures on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Where you are, by postcode
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Most customers in Wingrave get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Repairing versus replacing in Wingrave
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Why Wingrave clients choose us

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
When we’d advise against a repair
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
