What affects the price in Woodhouse

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Woodhouse. The price comes down to:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How easy the damage is to reach

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Woodhouse. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Woodhouse, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Typical jobs include a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Woodhouse questions

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

What happens next?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What do you need from me?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Can tenants book a repair?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Do you work in Woodhouse?

We do. Repair technicians travel to Woodhouse from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Repairing versus replacing in Woodhouse

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why book with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

How the visit works

Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Ask for a price

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Advice

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Common problems we fix in Woodhouse

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

  • Whether they match the colour on site
