How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Woodrow

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Woodrow as everywhere else we work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How it works

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Woodrow questions

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

What happens after I send pictures?

We come back with a fixed price, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Woodrow?

Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item with your DY10 postcode.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

What we cannot put right

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Common problems we fix in Woodrow

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Our hiring checklist

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

What you get with us

  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Worcestershire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The colour and finish to match

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
