How we handle wood floor repair in Gogledd Corneli
Laminate swollen by water can’t be repaired, and we’ll be honest about that. Boards are repaired where they lie, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Common call-outs are for scratches from furniture and pets and gouges from moving appliances, across wood-effect vinyl (ask us), laminate flooring and solid wood.
You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Use felt pads under furniture and wipe up spills promptly.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a damaged board can mean lifting the floor back to it, finding a board that matches and laying it all again. A repair works with the boards in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

FAQs for Gogledd Corneli
How do I get a price for wood floor repair in Gogledd Corneli?
Prices start from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
What happens if you find more damage?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Do I need to move furniture?
Only from the area we’re working on.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
How we price wood floor repair
Repairs from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from photos
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A picture taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- What it’s made of, if you know
Most customers in Gogledd Corneli get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
