Wood floor repair near Shop

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Shop. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • A wider photo showing the entire floor
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.

How we handle wood floor repair in Shop

Boards are repaired where they lie, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Laminate swollen by water cannot be repaired, and we’ll be honest about that. We work on laminate flooring, engineered wood and wood-effect vinyl (ask us), and common reasons people contact us are scratches from furniture and pets and dents from dropped items.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe up spills promptly.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, sourcing a matching board and relaying. A repair leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Shop. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

The process

Your technician turns up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a few hours, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We clean the damaged area.
  2. Next we fill the dents and chips.
  3. The repair is levelled to the board.
  4. We recreate the colour and grain by hand.
  5. Finally we match the sheen of the floor.

Choosing a repair company

Landlord and trade work in Shop

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
