Wood floor repair for The Park Estate homes

Wood floor repair at your home in The Park Estate

Boards are repaired where they lie, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Laminate swollen by water can’t be repaired, and we will tell you if that is the case. If you’re dealing with burns and chipped board edges, we can normally put it right, on wood-effect vinyl (ask us), laminate flooring and solid wood alike.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we have gone. Use felt pads under furniture and wipe up spills promptly.

What affects the price in The Park Estate

Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to The Park Estate. The price comes down to:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Send pictures for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the whole floor
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Natural light rather than flash

Most clients in The Park Estate get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

What we can’t put right

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Laminate swollen along the joints by water
  • Boards that have lifted or warped
  • Underfloor damage

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Wood-effect vinyl (ask us)
  • Laminate flooring

DIY kit or professional repair?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Common problems we fix in The Park Estate

Furniture, pets and dropped items scratch and dent wood and laminate, and sliding appliances can gouge the boards.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • Dents from dropped items
  • Chipped board edges
  • Scratches from furniture and pets
  • Gouges from moving appliances

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, finding a board that matches and relaying. Repairing it works with the boards in place. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

How it works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a few hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and how to look after it.

  1. We clean the damaged area.
  2. Next we fill the dents and chips.
  3. We sand the repair flush with the board.
  4. We recreate the colour and grain by hand.
  5. Finally we match the sheen of the floor.

Before we arrive

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
