Trusted kitchen sink repair in Further Quarter

Kitchen sink repair at your home in Further Quarter

Repairs are matched to the original finish, so the kitchen stays as it is. If the vinyl wrap has lifted across a door, it usually needs re-wrapping; we fix chips, dents and local damage. We’re frequently asked to fix damage from fitting or moving appliances and chips in ceramic sinks, on cabinet ends & plinths, composite sinks and ceramic Belfast & butler sinks.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. A sink mat protects against dropped pans, and dry the door edges after spills.

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Doors where the vinyl wrap has lifted across a large area
  • Doors swollen by water
  • Sinks cracked through the base

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Composite sinks
  • Ceramic Belfast & butler sinks
  • Gloss and matt cupboard doors
  • Cabinet ends & plinths
  • Vinyl-wrapped doors

The process

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, tidy-up included.

  1. We clean and prepare the damaged area.
  2. Chips are filled and edges rebuilt.
  3. The repair is sanded to the original profile.
  4. The colour is matched to the sink or door finish.
  5. Finally we polish or seal it.

How to prepare

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Unusual colours or finishes

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Natural light rather than flash

Upload a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Further Quarter, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

10 questions to ask before you book

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a sink or door can mean disturbing the worktop, cabinets and plumbing, or finding a matching door that’s been discontinued. Repairing it leaves everything in place. Our kitchen sink repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Questions from Further Quarter

Can a chipped butler sink be fixed?

Yes. Chips to the rim, apron and around the waste are common repairs.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

Are there extra charges for Further Quarter?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Do you fix kitchen doors?

Yes. We repair chips, dents and scuffs on most door finishes.
