Kitchen sink repair in Silkstone

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We start by preparing the damage.
  2. We fill chips and rebuild edges.
  3. We shape the repair to match the original.
  4. We match the colour to the glaze or door.
  5. We polish or seal the repair.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Advice

About our kitchen sink repair in Silkstone

If the vinyl wrap has lifted across a door, it typically needs re-wrapping; we repair chips and dents. Repairs are matched to the original finish, so you do not need replacement parts. Whether it’s cracks around the waste and chipped door and drawer edges, we can help, whatever the material.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit. A sink mat protects against dropped pans, and wipe door edges dry.

Why repair rather than replace?

A new sink or door can mean disturbing the worktop, cabinets and plumbing, or hunting for a door that is no longer made. Repairing it leaves everything in place. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Why us?

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Work done at your home or business

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Silkstone: your questions answered

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Do you come to Silkstone?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Silkstone and the rest of Barnsley. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Will it make a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Barnsley.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

You’ll get a fixed quote back, plus dates. There is no obligation to book.

What kitchen sink repair costs

Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Doing more than one item at once

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
