Need non-slip bath coating in Alt?

Non-slip bath coating in Alt, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. Whether it’s bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, we can generally put it right, on resurfaced baths, wet room floors (ask us) and acrylic baths alike.

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Oldham. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

How we price non-slip bath coating

There is no area surcharge for Alt. What changes the price is:

  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to get a fixed price

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

If you’re in Alt and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

How it works

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a few hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Before we arrive

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Related advice

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • One price list for the whole UK
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited

Read our full price list.

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

When a repair isn’t the answer

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths

Landlord and trade work in Alt

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Alt?

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Safety for older or less mobile people

What to look for in a quote

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • How your room will be protected
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • Who will actually do the work

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Do the materials smell?
