Non-slip bath coating in Branston Booths

Non-slip bath coating in Branston Booths, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. If you’re dealing with safety for older or less mobile people and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet, we can help.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Resurfaced baths

What happens on the day

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a few hours, tidy-up included.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Prices and what affects them

We charge the same across the UK, including Branston Booths. The price reflects:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material and finish

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Branston Booths. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The material, if you know it

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Branston Booths?

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

Questions to ask before booking

  • Who will actually do the work
  • How soon you can use it again
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • What protection goes down before work starts

Choosing a repair company

Branston Booths questions

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the entire UK, including Branston Booths and the rest of Lincolnshire. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

What does non-slip bath coating cost?

Every job gets a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your LN4 postcode.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Will a non-slip coating change how my bath looks?

For landlords and businesses

For anyone letting property in or around Branston Booths, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Should you replace it?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
