Trusted non-slip bath coating in Brentry

Non-slip bath coating in Brentry, done in place

It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. Typical jobs include resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet, in resurfaced baths, shower trays and acrylic baths.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we have gone. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Landlord and trade work in Brentry

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll handle the rest.

When to call us in Brentry

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

The things customers normally mention when they call include:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What preparation is included

Our hiring checklist

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

Brentry questions

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

What non-slip bath coating costs

Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Unusual colours or finishes

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower tray
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Details of any past repairs

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.

When we would advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Shower trays
  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths

Repair or replace: which is better?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why us?

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Most jobs done in one visit

How the visit works

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a few hours, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, typically overnight.

How to prepare

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price
